Las Vegas, NV, June 25, 2007- A faculty of 55 of the most talented surgeons in the country presented to over 500 attendees the advancements and current trends in facial cosmetic surgery. Among the distinguished faculty were renowned facial cosmetic surgeons Edward Terino, MD of Thousand Oaks, CA, Bruce Connell, MD of Anaheim, CA, Alan Matarasso, MD of New York, NY, Ron Moy, MD of Los Angeles, CA, Richard Anderson, MD of Salt Lake City, UT and Gaylon McCollough, MD of Gulf Shores, Fl who are internationally recognized as experts in facial enhancement.
This symposium is presented annually by chairman and president S. Randolph Waldman, MD to promote continuous multi-specialty education through lectures and live demonstrations by the top national and international Facial cosmetic surgeons. Attendees were also exposed to the latest technology through the presence of exhibitors from various medical companies. Dr. Waldman spends months recruiting the most qualified faculty to give such demonstrations so that attendees (consisting of Dermatologic surgeons, ophthalmic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, and general plastic surgeons) have the opportunity to learn about the advancements in cosmetic surgery from some of the most highly respected surgeons in the industry. With the help of these sponsors, the faculty was able to conduct a highly successful conference.
The Multi-Specialty Foundation was founded by Dr. Waldman in 2003. With a steering committee of ten of the most prominent experts in facial plastic surgery, the Multi-Specialty Foundation was developed to foster a sense of cooperation between the four medical specialties that are primarily involved in the science, practice and teaching of facial aesthetic surgery.
